Slay Utterly

King James Bible
Ezekiel 9:6
Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house.

This looks like a very interesting murder case:  “Slay Utterly”: Villisca Axe Murders 1912

Slay Utterly - Trailer

Trailer: The Ax Man Enigma: The real-life horror behind 'Slay Utterly'

Very interesting story.  I have never heard about it until tonight.  Seems very reminiscent of the story of the Amityville Horror, doesn't it?   To me the similarity of the slayings happening and the DeFeo murders are eerily similar.  At least they seem similar to me.

The Ax Man Enigma: The real-life horror behind 'Slay Utterly' (2013) - (Villisca ax murders)

The Ax Man Enigma: The real-life horror behind 'Slay Utterly' (2013) - (Villisca ax murders) from Stuart Wahlin on Vimeo.
Award-winning filmmaker Stuart Wahlin reopens a series of unsolved ax murders that gripped the nation's heartland with terror more than a hundred years ago. Although the Villisca (Iowa) ax murders have gained much attention from paranormal thrill-seekers in recent years, "The Ax Man Enigma" makes a compelling argument tying the murders of six children and two adults to eerily-similar crime scenes throughout the Midwest. The film suggests a lone 'Ax Man' took dozens of lives before disappearing after a two-year rampage.

"Slay Utterly" was originally cast in 2013, featuring all Chicago-area actors. These are the actors you'll see interviewed in the documentary. Unfortunately, having an all-local cast proved difficult when it came to fundraising and generating investment interest. Faced with either abandoning the production, or trying a new approach, a difficult decision was made to recast the film, and later part ways with its producers. Still, we hope to keep as many Chicago actors in "Slay Utterly" as possible. They will be working alongside indie horror icons Bill Oberst. Jr. and Melantha Blackthorne.

Interesting story.

Christopher Darren Horn For President

Yep!  I have decided that I am going to run for President of the United States.   I think I have to start a PAC (^Something^, Action Committee).  Can't remember if the P stands for Political or Presidential, LOL!   Anyway, gotta do some research, but any input would be appreciated.  Should be an interesting learning experience.

I think my chances are fair to getting fairer, LOL!

Heaven's Gates Dark Corners

Following the introduction sequence set in Arkham Asylum psychiatric hospital, the game begins on September 6, 1915, as police detective Jack Walters (voiced by Milton Lawrence) is summoned to the siege of a decrepit manor house in Boston, Massachusetts. The manor is inhabited by a bizarre cult called the Fellowship of the Yith, led by one Victor Holt who has asked specifically for Walters to come and talk to him. Taking cover from an ensuing firefight, Walters finds himself separated from the police and trapped inside the mansion, with no option but to investigate. When the rest of the police finally break in, they find the cultists dead by mass suicide and Walters apparently insane. He is committed to Arkham sanatorium, where he stays for several years.

Really interesting show on Clyde Lewis's Ground Zero show.   Always enjoy listening to Mr. Lewis. He Had Christopher Knowles on as a guest and he is always cool to listen to and his writings are always a good read, to me anyway, at his blog The Secret Sun.

The group rented a 9,200-square-foot (850 m2) mansion, located at 18241 Colina Norte (later changed to Paseo Victoria) in a gated community of upscale homes in the San Diego–area community of Rancho Santa Fe, from Sam Koutchesfahani, paying $7,000 per month in cash. Thirty-eight Heaven's Gate members, plus group leader Applewhite, were found dead in the home on March 26, 1997. In the heat of the California spring, many of the bodies had begun to decompose by the time they were discovered. The bodies were later cremated.

CNN: Heaven's Gate suicides remembered

On the subject of Heaven's Gate and on any subject really, I pay attention to the images, sounds and yes, smells that pop into my head when something is first uttered or I see.   When the subject of Heaven's Gate first came up the very first thing that popped into my head was this:

All for you...

Weird, huh?  Kept playing, over and over in my mind.

Anyway, I am doing another playthrough of one of my favorite games of all time (Started it a couple of days ago).  It has some buggy issues, but is still a joy to play and the material comes from my favorite all-time author H.P. Lovecraft.  Come on and Enjoy Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth with me, LOL!
